Binish Khowaja, Project Manager - Operations

Binish is Operations Manager at the Health Commons where she’s currently supporting across all the projects. She is a public health professional who derives her project planning and management expertise by working in donor-funded equity-based population health projects. She has worked with international non-profit organizations, including Johns Hopkins, to deliver high-impact and evidence-based health interventions to marginalized communities, where her work focused on implementing quality improvement approaches and building the capacity of healthcare providers for improved health outcomes. As a project manager, she has experience managing large scale, multi-year projects that span multiple sectors, communities and geographies. 

Binish is an internationally educated health professional and holds BSc in Nursing and MSc in Public Health where her research work was primarily around raising awareness and empowering women to improve maternal and child health outcomes. She has remained an active member of Alliance for Post Abortion Care to advocate for institutionalizing and scaling up safe abortion best practices in developing countries like Pakistan to improve population health indicators. She also has a postgraduate certification in Human Resource for Health Management from Queen’s Margaret University of Edinburgh.
