Empowering Peers and Ambassadors
Why It Matters People with deep roots in a community, or those who have a specific lived experience that has shaped their wellbeing, are in a unique position to improve the impact and reach of community-based interventions. Including the perspectives of community ambassadors and peer workers in program design and creating opportunities to be embedded as part of our teams in implementation has the potential to close equity gaps.
What We Do Health Commons is building a body of work and a comprehensive platform dedicated to elevating the role that peers and ambassadors play in addressing inequitable systems. Our work is focused on expanding these roles, working with and supporting organizations that share this vision. If your organization has ambassadors or peers as key members of your team, connect with us to learn about the tools and training we offer.
