Suleman Sule, Project Manager

Suleman brings extensive experience in building and implementing solutions that drive change and community-led impact at scale. After completing a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree, he started his career in 2011 with the Government of Nigeria as a Hospital Pharmacist at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital. He later joined the Ministry of Health’s Primary Healthcare Development Board Special Projects Team working on population-based approaches to improving Maternal and Child Health outcomes including a Conditional Cash Transfer program, and a Community-based Health Insurance Scheme for the informal sector.

Further postgraduate studies in Public Health at the University of York (England) and an MBA from the Business School Netherlands preceded his venture into the private sector, managing operations at a community retail pharmacy chain and working as a Medical Representative for Novartis’ Specialty Care Business Unit (Immunology and Vitreoretinal). This brought into acute focus the role of data, technological innovation and entrepreneurship in building healthy communities. These learnings influenced work at Field Intelligence, a software company fusing finance, market systems, design, data and tech-enabled solutions, leading the strategy for pharma supply chain operations across Nigeria and Kenya for a network of 1200 healthcare providers reaching a population of 120 million with essential medicines.

In other roles, he has contributed to knowledge and skills transfer as a Learning Coordinator at Amazon Canada, and as a volunteer with the International Pharmaceutical Federation  Professional Development Project Team on the roll-out of a career development toolkit based on the global competency framework (GbCF v2).
