Connecting People and Systems in Designing Solutions

Why It Matters Our systems work in silos that don’t reflect the reality of people’s lives. At a time of unprecedented complexity, it is difficult to know how to navigate overlapping needs, wants and aspirations. Traditional policy approaches do not equip decision makers to answer the question of “where to start” or “what is most important” to those who may be experiencing multiple system failures at the same time. Listening to stories, identifying patterns and understanding what they reveal, are ways of unlocking complexity and gathering the information needed to design systems that make sense for people.

What We Do
Our work seeks to advance and embed effective engagement, co-design and advocacy as essential tools that help policymakers and planners learn from people how we might improve systems that are meant to serve them. Explore with us ways to centre the needs of individuals and their communities.
